the finished 'bator.....

....meant to post some pics of this a while back ...clean forgot !

anyways after ( eventually !! ) putting the front perspex panel on for viewing .... I tested it out .....with the strip light ( 18 watts ) its too hot ( 101 F ) without its sits nicely between 88.2 - 90.3 F ......I still have to put a cple' o' small fans in to aid airflow ....humidity at 90% with a tub at bottom full of damp spagnum moss.

I would really like to have some form of light in there.....anyone any ideas?

led rope lights! it comes in 6' lengths and up works good and it comes in different colors.
menards, lowes,homedepot i think all carry it im not sure about walmart

LED is the way to go! Waterproof, heatproof, and non-heat emitting...they don't go out much either. Nice incubator!

For those who use lights: do you leave them on all of the time or just use a switch to put them on for viewing? I am thinking of installing lights myself.. the flashlight gets old and I only have two hands. :)
