Found a froggie. Now what?

We found a little frog in my grandmother's bathroom sink (have no idea how he got in there) but anyway, I couldn't put him outside since its December and bound to get cold. I was thinking he could wait out the winter here indoors.

I think it is a grey tree frog, but I'm not sure. Pictures to come tomorrow night. Right now he's in a tupperware bowl with a lid punched with holes. I'm about to move him to a small kritter keeper (its all I have) with some moss.

Any idea what this little frog eats. Required temps? Humidity?

I would google it, and see if you could get any useful information on housing and care that way... Yuo can find everything on google, it seems :)

well if he was living in your bathroom, i wouldnt think he was very fragile. He'd prolly eat crickets or small pin head crickets. prolly just misting the cage everyonce in a while would do ideal for the little bugger

I won't be able to get crickets till Wednesday because everything is closing early tonight. Will he be ok till then?

Depending how long he was in your house will determine if he will make it until then. I second the moss, plants for coverage and misting.. you can try to get crickets wed and see what happens. Good luck!

Frogs Are very fragile. He probably somehow got up through the floorboards or baseboards; this happens in our house as well. Is her house old? Ours is; it is over 100 years old. Hence, the wild mouse population in our house (though our cat tries!) Unless he got in through the drain; not sure if your G-ma has a septic tank/system, which might be linked to a drain or vent that he could've entered..
It is kind of tough to advise what to do now. There are actually laws that prohibit the capture and re-release of certain amphibians, in some states. This is because a released frog could feasably transmit a foreign pathogen from your house to the wild population. Hibernating frogs can be tricky; I have never personally done it in captivity, though frogs were my first herp love.. I do not want to advise you wrong. I would think that you could keep him in summertime-temperatures, in a tank, but then the whole re-release dilemma comes into play.

I will try and look up the laws in my area about re-release.
