    Introducing Darth Rack
    Hi,

I finally got round to cutting some wood after the decades of planning.

The small spaces I had left on each side of the tubs for possible electrical equipment came out a little larger than I had envisaged.

As a result of this my friend ( currently snoring on the couch) claimed it was looming at him in a threatening manner.:taz:

I do know I had to pile everyhting from the living room into heaps at the cardinal points to get enough room to build it and nearly put out my favorite back lifting it. So far temps seem to be ok but humidity might be tricky as with a water bowl in the box it only got to 45-56% with no holes drilled whatsoever.

Oh and ignore the middle tub in that last statement - I spilled the waterbowl while testing so its absolutely sodden.

It is only 25-33% in my house normally though so will adjust once I have some breathing animals in it.

I will also change the wattage of the installed bulbs as well once I see how the animals react to them.

I appologise in advance for the pictures and the state of the room. To fit it all in I have to back up till I'm (almost or totally) out of the door which doesn't lend itself to good photography.

    Hi,

You are using light bulbs and heat tape?

    Hi,

2 sections of flexwatt in an L shape so the right third has the hot end and the remaining 2 thirds has the back left half heated to 83 and the front left no heat tape at all.

The bulbs are 7 watt pygmy bulbs at the moment till I see how it works out - at their closest they are about 3 inches from the plastic of the tub itself.

Basically I had no clue how this was going to work so tried for a design I could rip apart and rebuild as needed.

Any advice on what needs changing?
