    Alternative feeder rodents?
    Hi guys,

I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands. I live in Alberta, Canada, where there's a ban on live rats. The frozen feeder rats I've bought here have been in pretty gross shape (either sickly and underfed looking, or pungent and soaked in pee, eww!). Obviously I don't want to be feeding my bps that, but seeing as it's illegal for me to breed my own feeder rats, are there any other rodents that would work well nutritionally for my snakes? Would I be better off feeding multiple mice?

I would just buy my rats online, but I have no access to a credit card :sigh2:

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mice will work just fine. Your average small rat will range from 50-85 grams and your adult mice will range from 20-30 grams so adjust the number of mice by weight to whatever size rat your snake is used to.

    Hi,

Another possibility is asking if any of the suppliers can accept electronic transfers or paypal?
