lite colors?

any body know if green light bulbs r ok to keep on at nite? if not what colors should b used, so as not to disturb nocturnal cycle....i know , i know , in know....lite bulbs dry the air.....blah blah blah... but i mist and maintain humidity with two fairly big water bowls...so hypothetically.......:rolleye2:

ive read on here they cannot see red or green, but, when i turn my light on, they jump if they are not hidden. soo

i've read that blue and red lights can't be seen. i don't recall seeing anything about green lights.

I would think a green light would be A) too bright and harsh of a light for night time, and B) not a natural light color as it were. The reason blue lights were made for night is because they simulate moonlight. Red lights cannot be seen by snakes, as far as I know, so those were OKed for night as well. This is what I have heard and read, though, so I am by no means an expert. :)

IMHO, a green light would not be a good night choice. The best choice would be a midnight bulb (blue), or a low watt blacklight or a red bulb after that.
