Chlorine

Hey guys,

I know most herps required conditioned water, but haven't heard of any BP'ers mentioning de-chlorinating our BP's drinking, or soaking water, like if a Ball python had a bad shed, etc.

Should it be done? I've been just using Spring water thus far.

hmm. we use that blue stuff for our herp water to treat it, but we have pretty hard city "treated" water out here in the sticks.

I, also, use the Reptisafe 'blue stuff' to treat the water I use on my snakes. I've been using the stuff for years now and it's great.

Regular tap water isn't recommended?

just full up a 1 gallor jug with tap water and let it sit inside with the top off for 24 hours, the chlorine will evaporate from the water

That's what I do. If the water's good enough for me, then it's perfectly ok for the animals. ;)

I just use plain old tap water straight from the faucet. No problems what so ever. Been using it on my snakes for over 14 yrs now without any problems.

i always drink bottle water and ill finish about half of it and then give the rest to fluffy
