    55 gallon?
i bought a 55 gallon tank a while ago, and then i saw a 40 gallon breeder and began to think is a 55 gallon to narrow for a bp? the breeders are a lot wider and have more floor space

A 55 is more than enough for an adult BP. Tanks are harder to keep warm and humidified than tubs, so going bigger can actually make proper husbandry harder.

A 55 could actually be considered too big for an adult BP. BPs like low, "tight" spaces, and a 55 is neither. I advocate tanks for snakes and I wouldn't keep a BP in a tank that tall...keeping temps and humidity would be murder!

The best dimensions for an adult have been said to be at least 36x18x12, better to be 48x24x12. Length and width are much more important than height.
