sugar gliders

Hey can anyone give me any info on sugar gliders. I seen one at a pet stre here and was really attracted to it and seriously thinking about getting one or two. But not sure how they are to care for and handle ad how they may interact and such. so anyone that can give me their experiences and knowledge on these would be greatly appreciated

The only thing I know about sugar gliders is that they are very social and they need a lot of work or they can be little terrors. I know someone who has a pair and plays with them a lot and they behave okay, but they need a friend to play with constantly.

My sister has a few, and I have a bit of basic knowledge. First off, they should be kept in pairs. Unneutered males will produce an oil that makes their heads look bald. You need to feed them fresh fruits and veggies, and they are nocturnal and sleep most of the day. You'll need a place AWAY from your bedroom to keep them as they can be a bit noisy. You also need to spend a good amount of time bonding with them, and it helps to have a little indoor tent in which to interact with them. Not to mention little pouches for them to sleep in, and carry them in.

I know they can be noisey. I heard their squeel at the pet store when they were woken up in their little pouch they were in.

but how are they with other animals I have 2 cats, a dog, a BP, and a savahanna monitor. Plus I might be getting my 2 ferrets back soon :banana:. So I wanted to know if there are concerns with the other animals.

plus what type or how big of a cage hould they have
