    Anyone keep Carpets?
    Hey guys,

I may be getting a carpet within the month, from someone who can no longer keep it. I believe it's still fairly young.

BP's Vs. Carpets - what are some major differences between the two snakes' care?

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated - I think i've read all of the major caresheets.

For one, carpets can be a bit more nippier than balls. They grow to a larger size and are more slender. This means that they will move around a lot more than balls.

I just got a jungle X coastal carpet this weekend she is a pretty little snake. But Mpenn is right a whole lot more nippier than anything ive ever owned. She just needs to be handled to get used to me but I've always wanted one so itll be worth the work.

Carpets need a lil higher humidity and some climbing room compared to balls. Also depending on what kind of carpet they'll get longer that a ball. Coastals can get up to 10'!

I got my JCP last year as a little baby my friend got one of his siblings from the same clutch. Mine has been a sweetie since the day I got him... my friends has been mean as hell since she got her's. He is one of my favorite snakes and has only bitten me once and that was totally my fault. He's a lot more active and curious then my bp's. He is a little tank brave but once he is out he is a total sweetheart. By tank brave I mean he doesn't want me messing with him or inside his tank when he is in there. He just puts on a act and thinks he is Mr. Tough. Also he has never missed a meal.

I highly recommend getting a JCP. They are awesome snakes.

I have a pair of jungle carpets.. they are definitely more willing to bite than a BP, but my older one is fine once you get her out of her tub.

Younger ones tend to be slightly arboreal. They enjoy climbing on things.. they are less shy than a BP, and they like to eat.

carpets are always a joy to keep and are less finicky than a ball... to me they seem more intelligent, but this may be because they're more active.

I just got a jag sibling a month or so ago and I like everything about him except he is mean. He is just a little guy, but he has his bluff on me. Check my pics of him in my gallery
