Cat stitch removal

My cat has about 10 stitches on his under belly from surgery last week.

I'm prob taking him tomorrow or Weds to get them removed.

Question:

Do they put him to sleep to remove these you think?

It's a very simple procedure and it doesn't hurt to have them removed. They will probably just lay him down and snip them out. Shouldn't be a big deal at all :)
