    Hatchling Cage Size?
Ok, I plan on ordering an Albino Male Burmese hatchling from Bob Clark pretty soon. And I was wondering if it would be wise to keep it in a smaller enclosure until it grows a little bigger, or just put it in it's full size enclosure? I was planning on building a cage thats 96x24x17 but I didn't know if the snake would feel secure enough.

    What do you guys recommend?

1.) Keep it in a small cage until it grows larger?
2.) Build a large cage that will house it for the rest of it's life and just have a bunch of hides?

    Thanx everyone,
    -Chris-:)

Also, are those measurements for the full size enclosure good enough, or is it too small for an adult?

Could go either way. Would need a lot of hides if you were to keep it in an 8' enclosure. But a lot of people would recommend getting a smaller cage and working your way up.

Ok, well I could just build the thing and then section it off temporarily. Would that work? The thing is I have only the money for the cage and I want to get started on it as soon as possible, but I don't want to have to build/buy a couple cages because I won't have enough for them AND the big cage. Hmmmmm, I guess I might have to though.

You could section it off if you allow the proper temps. And that it's not kept on just the warm or cool side.
