    Flex Watt
I am getting ready to put a rack together and I am going to use flex watt. I have heard you need to protect the flex watt from the constant rubbing of the tubs sliding in and out. I am going to use 4 inch flex and I have some very thin aluminum flashing that is cut to 5 inches wide. I was thinking of taping over the heat tape with aluminum tape do you think this would be a good idea?

    Thanks Richard

So I place the Flex watt tape it down, then place the 5 inch aluminum over the top and tape that down. Then place probe on top of aluminum and the flex watt will heat the alum to the desired temp set be the t-stat. Then everthing is good. Does this sound like a correct statement.

    Thanks Richard

the DIY on Bailey and Bailey reptiles' site gives some photos of how they did it with the flashing. I used their plans and it works out awesome.
