    How does this work?
I saw this ad on KS and I'm curious how this works. I thought that to have your own line you had to bring in a WC or farmed animal or hatch it from a WC female. Is this actually a new ghost line, or is it a designer moph?

New Line Ghost Female. Introducing The Golden Ghost.

We have made a new line ghost by crossing 2 lines of ghost and then crossing that to a genetic "high gold" line ball we have been working with. This new line is compatible with all the other ghost lines including, yellow, orange, bell, N.E.R.D. VPI, Citrus, etc. We are calling this line Golden Ghost.

yeah if his high gold is genetic.... then it would be a combo of an existing ghost line and his "golden balls"

    :)

Sounds like a croc.....Lets think... you cross two lines of hypo you get double hets even if you produce a Double Homozygous to breed it back to a "high gold" would still produce Double Hets. :D

Even if he ended up with cross ghosts and combuned that with a genetic high gold, that doesn't make the ghosts high gold. So this seems like a croc to me too, because if you breed it to a compatible ghost line, you would get ghosts het for the high gold, so there really isn't a new line of ghost here at all. It seems like it's just a (somewhat weak) combo. Is this right, or am I missing something?

It's funny, the guy has only good guy posts on the BOI, and people say he's been around for a long time, but then he claims to have a new line of ghost, but basically explains in the ad that he's full of crap.

    He may just be mistaken.

I see it as a marketing ploy, nothing more.

I agree, Maybe he has a genetic combination that he feels is significant enough to call it a line .

Many ghosts lines nowadays are almost the same or mixed anyway (butterscotch, orange) so who is to say?
