Michael Vick gets 23 months

Just a few moments ago Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months for his role in a "dogfighting conspiracy" and the killing of 6-8 pitbulls that didn't perform well in the fights.

That's all? wow..

that's sad... should be longer.

His life is ruined... half of me wishes he had gotten a longer sentence - the other half wants to believe that he can redeem himself and become a advocate against the thuggery culture so many of these young superstars are choosing.

I wonder how long he'll ACTUALLY serve?

I'm gonna guess between 9-11 months he will serve. Only if he is a good boy in jail.

I actually agree with you. He could have received 5 years and ended up with one month shy of 2 years, with three years probation. The prosecutors had only recommended a sentence of between 12 and 18 months. So I'm actually happy to see he got more then what the prosecutors even suggested.

I think he should be getting more time too; but considering OJ got nothing for killing his wife I guess I should be happy.
