    Little bumps
Hi All!! After a shed and a great big mousicle I was handling Sizzle today and I noticed about 5-6 little pin head or slightly smaller bumps under Sizzes skin..I think they are too small to be ticks, but they are there? They dont see uncomfortable. Any ideas? I would take pics but I don't think they would show. I value your educated knowledge ...Please help ..

One more before I go...Does probing by a knowlegable handler cause the snake unneccesary discomfort or stress?...Thanks

They seem like little firm bumps. like zits without puss filled centers or heads. They don't move.He has one on his back and inch behind his head and a couple down his side and along his back. about a millimeter(1/16" for the US) in diameter. They are not pushing his scales apart. I have read about worm type parasites but they are described as being bigger. He eats and is active when handled. I feel sooo bad for this python as I really think that his life till he met me was brutal due to husbandry and lack of feedeing.. Just another pet shop story!...I called the vet nearest to me to se if he has ever heard of these bumps. His office said he wouldn't give advice over the phone...nice eh?So I am going to have to travel 2 hrs and spend $100 + just to see him rather than spend a moment with me on the phone. It is great to see the health care system does not differ from Humans to Amimals...Medical pros are definately in it for the dough!!!and not so much the patient!! :(

Ok this is for your bump question. If they look suspicious to you then i suggest a vet visit ;).Now to the probing question. If you think about how a metal rod would feel being placed into your area to figure out if you were male or female.Well bygolly yes it will seem unpleasant ;).All jokes aside now,if its done properly it will be less painfull to the snake;)
