any idea on what this is? you can move it a little but i tried not to touch it too much in case it caused him any pain.
Re: found something on my BPs tail
if its near the cloaca it is possibly a spur but if not then it might be a tick

thanks
while i'm asking questions.. i have a redtail that i got 2 weeks ago that has mites.. i'm picking up PAM for it tomorrow but is it okay to use in a room full of tarantulas/scorpions?
so far only the redtail has mites but i want to spray around the room to make sure if any mites got out they wouldn't get to my other 5 snakes, but i don't want to harm the insects i have in my room and i think i read about someone killing flies with PAM before
Re: found something on my BPs tail
No, you don't want to do that. PAM hurts all insects and fish...and that includes spiders I believe. I use it around my windows and doors to help keep things out. You'll want to spray the snake cage in another room entirely.
Re: found something on my BPs tail
You can always try reptile relief it works wonders and you don't have to use that much to get the job done. I've heard of people getting sick and dieing for over use of pam. I personally don't use it for any thing but I would think if it can be harmful to humans than using around reptiles of arachnids might be fatal.

yeah, i just want to get rid of the problem so i'll just use whatever they have at the reptile center.. if its PAM then i have work masks i can wear when spraying the tank and i'll be sure to read the directions so nothing gets hurt.. so far my plan of action is to bleach clean the tank everynight and soak the snake to see if it helps.. i know i must have killed hundreds last night.. now its just a matter of getting rid of the eggs, and thats what i need the mite spray for
