    Successful switch to f/t!
I've been feeding live, but it made more since finanically for me to switch to f/t. Today was my first attempt and 5 of my 7 snakes took the f/t rat without even thinking about it! The two that didn't were my two older snakes and I was anticapating them having a harder time with it. But anyway wish me luck on the switch!!

Congrats! I been thinking about doing the same. I have one pretty young one so i dont think it will be hard for that one, but my older one might be a bit of a problem....guess thers only one way to find out though. :)

That's great! I have tried to switch to f/t for the same reason (money!) and it worked out great except for my three oldest ones that will not even take pre-killed. Even after making the f/t do the zombie rat dance they will hit it and wrap it up then leave it in the feeding tub for me even hours later. All eight of my little bp's I got from my last breeding take f/t before the tongs pass the lip of the feeding tubs! So i guess the sooner you get them on f/t the easier it is to get them to go to it all the time. Congrats on the switch it will save you time and money.:snake:

I had originally planned on doing f/t but I found a local breeder whos prices on rats are competitive with f/t prices AFTER shipping. I get rat pups and small rats for $1.50ea.

Fireball- That is great, I really wish I could find those prices for live.

Also, I tried the f/t rat again late last night and one of my older snakes took it! So that's 6 out of 7.
