some kind of weird thing

okay, I was feeding my Ball Python the other day and it looked like she was going through shed, her eyes were cloudy and blue-ish, and her skin was almost grey where it is normally black. the next day I checked her and she looked normal, but I didn't find any skin. does anyone know why this is?

This is normal.. the fluid that makes the snake appear bluish drains away before the shed actually happens (At least I'm pretty sure this is the reason.. haha) the actual shedding will happen in a day or two.

When shedding they will go blue, then they will clear up for 1-2days. After 1-2days of being clear you will find your skin.

yea i just fed mine yesterday same thing i noticed a bluish tint then today it was gone mine also ate too i also thought they didnt eat while they shed

They will eat in shed, But some people feel it stresses them out. So they the people that feel this way. Say dont feed in shed!!

:confused: I feed mine before, during, after and they eat ;)

We've had enough refusals during the blue stage that we dont even bother them if they are still blue on feeding day.

Oh, okay. The thing is when I got my bp he didn't eat for 2-3 weeks + another week he was at petco (I got him on his feeding day but didn't feed him) so he got pretty skinny, since then he's been eating and has added on weight and is starting to look great :) But recently he's been extra stressed so I've taken it easy on him with the handling and am not sure whether I will be feeding him or not on monday. I HOPE he's done shedding by Thursday if he does Shed (he's due to shed any day) since thursday I'm heading back home for winter break and will be taking him along with his tank back for 3 weeks.
