    Possible Winter Shutdown?
    Hey all over the last 6 or so weeks my male ball has been acting strange I was curious if this was winter shutdown.

    Symptoms:
    Refusing meals for 6 weeks
    not hiding in hide
    not roaming cage at night
    stays in back corner of the cool side most of day and nite

    Cage Conditions:
    20L with aspen
    2 hides one on each side (cool/hot)
    Hot side temp 92ish
    Cool side 80ish

    Zues still looks healthy but he's startin to worry me because of innactivity

    anything helps!!!

    what's the humidity? floyd shut down once... it was winter so the furnace was on and drying up the air... got a humidifier by him and he snapped out of it!

    How are you measuring the temps/humidity, just out of curiosity? Sometimes people end up with the analog hygrometers/thermometers--and those tend toward being inaccurate. But if you're using digital, then your temps and humidity sound right on. Have you changed his enclosure at all in the last month or two? New hides/substrate, new food source?
