How common is it for a yearling male BP (around 15 months to be precise) to weight over 800 grams? I had originally bought a pastel as a male at a small show in Broken Arrow, OK from a Dealer from the Dallas,TX area who is pretty well known around here. He was only 300g or so when i bought him in April (he was a september hatchling) and thursday I weighed both him and my female of the same age. My female weighed in at 930g, and he was 820g. They are both fed one small adult rat per week, they very rarely refuse meals; the first time for my male to refuse has been this week, but the temps have dropped drastically outside. Temps in their enclosure's havn't changed. 92* warm side with Helix thermostat, and 83 cool side, but humidity has been sucked dry recently. Yay for spray bottles!
I'm taking my critters home with me during christmas break, so i was going to go to my herp vet with fecals for all 3 of my BP's, and I guess get them all sexed to make sure, lol. I was just curious if anyone else had a male BP that had rapid growth rate like this.
