    I just brought nome a leo i got from a guy at work whos nephew got tired of looking after. and i noticed all of her toes are gone down to the nub is this common for leos or geckos in general.

    It is common, but it can be prevented. It was more than likely caused by a bad, stuck shed. The skin gets wrapped around the toes, dries out, then cutting off the circulation. Then they lose the toes.

    You should provide him with a humid hide, they are good for shedding, and will prevent that problem. Watch him for the next couple sheds to make sure he is getting all of it off.

    If not, gently rub the toes with a moist q tip and it should come off. You can also soak him in luke warm water, upto his underarms for about 20 minutes if it doesn't stress him too much.
