im kinda intrested in the LABYRINTH BURM!
ok well i have my eyes on a bunch of snakes and my mom said maybe instead of getting a chondro just to looking into other snakes you intrested in if they dont have the kind of chondro you want get the other option soo i liked this kind of burm since i saw one (at my local reptile shop) and i looked up info on burms and carsheets and stuff you need to know like that so i would like too see some pics of your burms and some head up and does any one know a good site to get a good (less then 400$) labarinth burm?
    thanks-:salute:

Going from a chondro to a burm? Thats about as different as two snakes can be. I have 4 burms, they take up a lot of room and get very large. A decent cage for an adult would be about 8' X 4' X 2' They are rewarding snakes to work with but are not for the inexperienced. When they get to a certain size, you need two people around to work with them for safety reasons. If your situation changes and you find yourself no longer able, or no longer wanting to take care of them, it can be very difficult to find new homes for them. Don't expect to resell it, expect to give it away. A labyrinth may be easier to find a home for, but it still wouldn't be a sure thing.

If you think that misting your Chondro often it a pain.....then I doubt you can handle a burm.

I have a Chondro and two burms (among other snakes).

If you can't handle a little misting (or are bothered about it) you will have a harder time pulling your 10+ft even 6-8ft+ burm in and out of its cage to clean it. And they Pee a LOT! So it's not like a bi-weekly chore but a few times a week.

Not to mention the $$ spent on cages, feeders, heat elements, hides, water bowls, and the snake itself.

    Just a thought.

im not specificly saying the spraying is a pain in the but it just that they need more attention then other snakes do thats what i meant to say and i could buy a vison cage (a big one for when he gets big and just leave him in their his whole life or i can get a 20 gal then build my own cage where i live theri like 100 sluaghter houses soo i can get pigs chickens and quails and rats at my local reptile shop for water bowls i just use huge dog water bowls as they get older at least for them to soak in when they get a little bigger oh i have some questions if you feed your burm 1 every two weeks how big would it get in 3 years ?

my kingsnake allways does that to me i add new newspaper he poops soo its like ughhhhhh but it takes me like 30 min to spot clean all my cages i just add water in them get paper towls
and just clean the cage up
every now and then i change from newspaper to mulch depending on how much money i have and when i want to decorate up the cage
