    I was wondering if anyone takes their snakes to the vet on a regular vet check up? as you would with a dog or other pet.

    I only take mine in if there is something wrong. They don't really age the same way as dogs and cats do, nor do they require the annual vaccinations, prescription heartworm prevention, etc.

    This does bring up something I've been wondering about though...for those who feed live, do you do a prophylactic deworming yearly just in case the feeders were carrying something? If not, do you think you should?
