Re: sitting at the bottom..
I have a couple that like to hide under the paper towels occassioinally. As long as they CAN climb, I wouldn't worry about. One member had an issue with that due to lower humidity which resulted in the inability to 'stick'.
I guess the just feel secure there or wanted a quick bite. :)
Re: sitting at the bottom..
lol, thanks Christie..it isnt always that they are down there but fairly often. they can climb, ive seen em' do it. they dont hide under the papertowels they sit on top of them hehe... thanks for responding :)
Re: sitting at the bottom..
I think it just depends on the gecko and where they feel secure.
I have 4 cresties (right now lol) All but one sleep in their hammocks under flat leaves, or behind a plant on the glass. One female curls up under a plant at the bottom, under papertowels, or in a coconut hide. At night she climbs all over.
Like Christie said, as long as the CAN climb they should be fine:)
Re: sitting at the bottom..
nothing to worry about as has been stated as long as their feet are sticky and they do have the ability to climb. some cresteds prefer to stay lower down or on the bottom--it's just a matter of preference. i have some cresteds that sleep flat on the ground, out in the open and others that sleep hanging upside down in a mass of leaves at the top of the cage--it's just what they like. :)
