Subsrate help

Can you trust store bought substrate or should it be disinfected before using. Just wondering. T-rex coco bark. And and ideas on best way to do it.

I was told to bake it on a cookie sheet at 250d for 30-60 min.

yeah, I just got my first bp about a month ago, and I am paranoid about everything.

Yes treat it or bake it, i got some bugs from pet store bought bedding. I am without a doubt sure of it. They say that they dont really bother the snakes but still not cool to see!
