    Good size?
A week ago I rescued a 2 year old ball python who I named Zoe. I love her to death and am completely attached. :) She's 34" long and 718 grams. Is this a good size for a 2 year old probed female? I think she may be a little short but I'm not sure. She's due to eat today so I weighed her before feeding. Thanks for all input.

I don't know, sounds fine to me. I have a girls that is probably about that length and over 800g. But i don't know for sure as all I really track is weight.

Two years old and 718 grams. Every snake grows differently how ever even for a male that is somewhat on the small side. You might concider having a vet do a fecal test to make sure there are no interninal parisites keeping your animal from grwoing.

    :) Thank you both.
She hasn't defecated for me yet. Is it ok to take in the first poop she gives me? I'm pretty big with bearded dragons and I know with them you wait 2 weeks before getting a faecal done. Is this the same with snakes?

Definitely on the small side for a 2 year old, either sex. Fed once a week, BPs will usually hit that weight at about a year old. Fed more heavily, they may reach that weight in 6-8 months. She will catch up quick if she is eating well for you though, I wouldn't be too concerned with her.

Take in the first poo she gives you. Don't wait more than a few hours the longer you wait the more of the eggs (if there are any present) die and the lower the chance of getting a proper diagnoses. If you must wait place the sample in a tuperware container and put it in the fridge, it'll keep the eggs alive for up to two/three days.

    Hope that helps
