Kinky shedding pics... (DUW)

Someone was asking me about the Kinkers tonight, so I thought I'd pull her out and snap a few pics.

She's deep into shed, and her eyes are just starting to come out of blue so she should be sloughing here in a day or so. But this girl is so gentle that she doesn't even care! I love her so much... the best boa ever!

The lighting was pretty dark, but Kinky was pretty dark herself being so close to shedding. Her skin is very shiny, throwing rainboas all over the place:

I will take a few more pics right after she sheds... she will be MUCH brighter then. I love how snakes look just after shedding... and how much softer they feel! It's so awesome!

Nothing ever seems to bother her! My little '07 hypo hisses at his own shadow when he's in shed... but Kinker's basically curled up and fell asleep while I took those pics.

She does get a little frightened if you're only holding her with one hand, and will immediately wrap her head or tail around anything she can grasp. She breathes hard, too, like wheezing, when she's scared---she's not sick, had it checked out a couple times---but it's not a hiss at all... Not sure if this is a reaction from her being dropped---which is possibly what caused her kinks---or if it's because she knows she can't balance well with the kinks... who knows?

Very beautiful, special snake, Lynn. I don't know how I missed this post. Anyway, her head is adorable. It's sad that she has so many kinks, but she is still very, very beautiful. :) I'm looking forward to seeing those after-shed pictures, too!
