nose problem?

    nose problem?
    lately I've been noticing my bp's nose looks odd. it looks like his scales a 'scraped up', or have some sort of crusty build up on them, but there is no crust, they just look that way. I'm pretty sure that the reason may be the low humidity of the tank when I left him in the care of my room mate for a couple weeks, I didnt tell him that it needed to be bumped up now and then. My main concern though is if this 'scale rot' is something I have to worry about...

    Hard to say without a picture, but it's fairly common for the nose scales to get a bit roughed up occasionally. Most likely nothing to worry about.

    I second that. My snakes used to get their noses roughed up from rubbing, especially on the screen lid before I built a rack. Pics would help too.

    Thank you for asking this question, I have the same problem. She does rub against the lid a lot. I wasn't going to worry until I saw it after her shed.

    Mine has been doing the same thing too. I wonder if i should put a disinfectant on it??? Thanks for asking as well.
