I have self control!! Sometimes!!

Kelly took me out today to celebrate my birthday. We found an african rock python about 3ft long. Such a nice looking snake. Even though she doesn't care for snakes , she offered to buy him for me. I love af rocks!! But I said no. I wanted to scoop him up and run home. But knowing what I do about them, decided he was a little more than I would be willing to deal with. Then she saw the albino burm and offered that. Where I mustered that much control I don't know. It would be great the first couple years then I would have to rehome it due to the fact of having no one to assist with the handling. I have always loved the giants!!:( Maybe someday before I die!

Yup, sucks sometimes doesn't it? I had a burm and I adored her, but she was getting too big for me to handle alone and couldn't have my daughter help with her. A friend who has several giants took her so I can still see her and I know she is in great hands. Maybe someday I will again...

Aww well that sucks you couldn't have gotten it. But it's good that you know your limit and for both the safety of you and the animal you did the right thing.
