    do the spurs on a ball python grow back? because my male ball python lost one. i don't know how! but do they grow back?

    if he's an older bp the age coulda worn them out if hes not old them i dont know man got me ask someone else :) and i dont think they grow back. but who knows

    If your snake did indeed loose a spur, it will not grow back. With that said, my best bet would be that he lost the retained shed that typically sticks on the spurs. Most ball pythons that I look at have 2 or more layesr of stck shed on the spurs, and when that stuck shed is removed, people are amazed at how small the actual spurs really are. I would say take a closer look, and you may find that the spur was never lost to begin with.

    Haha - you should have seen my face when Tim proceeded to remove the stuck shed on Spenser's spurs a few weeks ago. Like he said - do you ever see spur shed in your sheds?
