i have a heat lamp and uth on my cage as well as a space heater nearby just to keep the room at 80. during the night tho, i shut the light off and the tank drops down to low 70's, high 60's, and I cant get a red bulb or ceramic heat emitter. ive asked this question before and i was told to duct tape cork to the outside of the tank, and i did that, but the duct tape doesnlt stick, no matter how many layers i put on, are there ne oter methods of insulating a glass tank or of keeping the cork on?

can you get more heat out of the UTH? 80 is way too low. i also have a glass tank. i dont insulate it, but i may start doing that. i have an UTH and CHE because i dont want to run the UTH that hot. ( it sits on a wood thing ). is there any specific reason you cant do a red bulb or a che? my che was really cheap but it works very well ( i think $40. total with bulb and cover ).
