Hehe... see, that's why I attached mine to the back wall for ambient and humidity readings and use another acurite single readout for the cool side. :D If that thing weren't attached, she would have dunked or buried it so many times...

My boys both like to lay on theirs, and Kali loves to dunk hers in the water too. I haven't figured out the best way to 'anchor' it in the tubs without tape.
I've already learned that was a bad idea, cuz now Loki has adhesive residue near his tail. No damage done, thankfully....
    anyone have any ideas?

I think I'm going to try double sided velcro to attatch the front of the thermometer to the front of the tub. hopefully that works.

haha ya no kidding. Some mornings when I wake up he has managed to push his heavy waterbowl 6 or so inches back away from the cool side. He's pretty funny.

Actually that is how I have the accurite's secured in all four of my tubs in my rack. I have them at floor level w/ velcro on the back of the unit and the tub. I buy the industrial velcro that comes in circle shapes and just cut in down the center in a half circle and attach on on the accurite and one on the tub. Even my big 5 yr old guy can't move it . He actually will drape himself over the top and it still doesn't fall down. Then I just run the probe under the paper to the hot side of the tub. Here is a pic below. On these accurites the gauge that senses the temp/humidity is on the back.
