Started this over the weekend, it's almost done just waiting on my flexwatt and then just need to put on my backer board and fill the screw holes in let me know what you think (keep in mind it's my first try :D ) It will hold 5 snakes, top shelf is storage for newspaper spare water bowls and so on.

thats pretty sweet. i think im going to attempt to make one this winter hopefully soon. i think im going to do a 6 qt rack first, you know start a little smaller than you did but thats because i have a rack already. so im guessing its made out of melamine?

The wood is melamine, lowes has it cut down for shelving it was the perfect depth I just had to trim them down to length. The tubs are 30qt, I should be able to get 3 shoebox per shelf when I build a bigger one and turn that into a hatching rack.

tmartin2347 - what kind of rack do you have? I wanted to buy one but the cost difference to build it was ridiculous.

Everything was about 120 bucks and about 1 1/2 hrs labor. The reptile basics racks look great, but the money I saved helped me put money down on my 2 new snakes.
