Yep, BCI---boa constrictor imperator---is your typical Columbian redtail boa. These are the ones you see that come in all the crazy colors---hypo, anery, snow, ghost, sunglow, etc.
BCC---boa constrictor constrictor---are considered the true red tails: Surinames, Basins, Peruvians, Venezualians, etc.
There are many other subspecies groups, as well... occidentalis, amarali, sabogae and so on...
And that little BCI of yours is awesome dude! NICE reverse stripe there! :gj:
