    Ok so now my hubby thinks that he need to go on larger prey but we arent to sure...it just seems as if the rat pups arent doing it for him anymore....any suggestion ???

    i added a pics just so u guys can get to see him...hes about 24-26inc now... dont know how much he weighs

    but then again i have looked online at what rat pups are suppose to look like and the ones we get dont look anything like the ones i see considered to be rat pups :(

    is the meal leaving a lump in the snakes skin or can you tell it had just eaten? from what i understand you dont want to feed any larger than the width of the fattest part of your snake

    Yeah its always hard to tell from pics, my 07 babies 4 to 5 months old are on weaned rats. So if you feed live they would be feeding with eyes open. I to have noticed alot of different people have different sized prey than others so that is always hard.

    I feed all of my adults one rat weaner a week. (65-75 grams, 4 weeks old)

    yeah we started feedin him adult mice, and he seems very happy after :) but now my hubby wants to get him back on rats, but the pet store around me only have 2 sizes for rats..so dont know what to do.. ive looked online but u have to buy them in bulks... so im not to sure what to do...

    Mice are fine for the rest of his life, so let your husband know he doesn't have to worry. Mice or rats, they grow equally well, so if mice are easier to get and the snake eats them, go right on ahead. No reason to fix what isn't broke.
