    each week.

you should also try switching up methods...f/t, or live. if you're trying live and he refuses, then put the mouse down and into the freezer, and try f/t next week.

Can you tell us a little bit more about how your snake is set up? Pictures would be best.

How large is your enclosure? What are your temps on both sides? Do they remain constant? How are you measuring your temps, with a digital device or a stick on device?

How often are you holding your snake? How snug and secure are its hides?

Are you offering live, pre-killed or frozen/thawed?

My snake enclosure is 40 gallons. My snake is like 2 months old. I will post some pictures as soon as i get the chance. My temps remain pretty constant 90 on one side 80 on the other. My snake has not been using the hot side though ...maybe that has something to do with it? :confused:But im going to try to feed him today or tommarow so ill let you know what happens.. I measure temps with a circular thermometer also that is attached to the wall in the enclosure.

    40 gal is big.

He may feel insecure. Try adding some more hides, and ball up a bunch of newspaper and put it in there.

For a 2 month old baby - a 40 gallon is HUGE and very stressful. A ten gallon would be more appropriate. That's probably a big factor in his refusing to eat for you.

Are your hides identical on each side? They will choose security over thermoregulating.

My babies are in 15 quart tubs until they are 400 grams or more.

    Hi,

Can you tell us a little bit more about that? Is it a digital or a spring driven t-rex/ zoomed thing?

Have you checked it against an accurite (about $12 from wallmart apparently but maybe someone near you knows prices/places to buy - if all else fails you should be able to get them online)?

Ideally you want to measure the temperatures where the snake is actually lying so inside the hot and cool hides and the probe on the accurite makes this a breeze.
