Temps and humidity sound good ... have you checked with Adam what he fed it, before you got it? Might be as simple as him being used to rat pinks.
I have only 3 ball pythons that are on mice (out of 25) and the others won't touch mice with a ten foot pole.
If that isn't the problem: How about prey temperature? Some of mine are very iffy about that and if the f/t prey isn't right in between 95 and 105 degree they show me the cold shoulder.
Do you just place the f/t mouse in front of the hut? If so, try the 'mouse dance' (wiggle it in front of the snake to make it look like as if it's alive).
Next would be braining the mouse.
I do have one yearling BP that has a strange preference: She will take the f/t rats only after I dunk the prey's head into water.
    Good luck!

I have no idea about the details of Adam's practices but I do know he has advocated the safety of proper live feeding numerous times on this board.

Have you tried a live mouse?

    That's a spider right? Very nice :)

Have you tried dangling the F/T in front of his hide to get his attention and when he's ready to strike just hold it up for him? That's how my BP feeds. The first time i just threw it in front of him and left it there overnight and he didn't touch it. Next time I tried the "mouse dance" and it did the trick. It is also more fun feeding him that way.

Also, have you tried feeding later at night since snakes are nocturnal?

    Hey Evan,

Definitely give me a call or shoot me an email and we'll get you all squared away. That guy was an amazing eater while he was here and we probably just need to make a couple small tweaks to his environment to get him back on track.

    I'm available anytime.

    Thanks.
