    Naming Morphs
So, since spider and pastel and all the others are not in the wild, when a new morph is found, who names it. does it get "reviewed" to see if its a real morph? Does the morph get like...."approved". i dont know i was just curious

Actually Spider and Pastel are base morphs that appear in the wild, both were imported to the US and than proved out.

I think that for the most part the person who begins breeding the animal and starts working with the genetics, seeing if it's dom/co-dom/recessive etc., and proves out that the mutation is genetic, gets to name the morph.

When I find one, I would name it based on the looks, which I think most people have done...

Granted there are some that I feel are WAY off base, like... pshht... BALL Python... I would have called it Super Awesome Python.

I think his intention was to give it a hyper-masculine name so we'd all feel better about messing around with these wussy snakes... ;-)

    Like naming a Pomeranian Spike...

    LMAO!

I have a couple that would make you take back the whole "Wussy snake" comment.

But I still wouldn't title them with Doom and Destruction...
