Yay! That is so awesome. We have had our snake through only 2 sheds and both sucked. I hope we have good luck next time, too.

    Congrats!

BTW, do you think the bad shed(s) were due to husbandry, stress, or unknown issues? How long have you had him? Has he had good sheds with you previously? Just curious b/c maybe your answers will help me.

well when we bought him he was in the midst of shedin and it just wasnt commin off till i came on here and read about how to get the shed off better... and i deff think it was due to his husbandry.... i learned everything that i needed to know on here..... and when i noticed that he was gonna shed i bumped up his humidity up to 70 as a just incase thing.... and it worked perfectly... i have been watin to see how he was gonna shed...

and thank u.. im proud that he did.. it made me feel like i took good care of him :P

It is a good feeling when your snake sheds perfectly!! My new girl had a clean shed waiting for me this morning when I went to check on her, so I am feeling your excitement and pride as well!!!:gj::gj:

And Melissa, I think there are at least a couple of factors that can affect shedding. Babygerl said one of them when she said husbandry. Make sure that your temps and humidity are correct and like she said, I too bump up my humidity to 60 - 70% when I notice them going in blue. Another thing that I have found that can affect sheds is stress.

We struggle with humidity so much. We mist a lot to make up for it. And we have a water bowl with a very large surface area. I think our next attempt at a remedy is a humid box/humidity hide.

i ended up puttin his water bowl right under the heatin pad so it would help a bit as well... i hope u can get it all worked out....i also lasttime i tried to get his shed off...i added a dmp wash cloth in his hideout(which i got off here as well) and it help keep the hunidity in his hideouts

    and congrats sunny :D
