    your darned day job..
Is there anyone else that just gets fed up with their job? I know that work is necessary (at least in my household!) to keep things afloat, and pay for all of the things that we enjoy. But dangnabbit, sometimes I just dream of all of the stuff I could be getting done at home. Painting and drawing for one; I do not do this nearly as much as I want because of lack of time.
My husband does tattoos, and he loves what he does, but it is not cnosistent enough for me to not work.. so off to my 40-hour workweek office job I go. I think that I might start looking for another job; I have an ulcer and alot of stress (and a few pounds of weight!) as a result of spending 2 years where I am.
Argh! Thanks for reading my work-related vent.

Yes, but you will never hear me complain about my job. I was out of work for a year after 9/11 - and since I've been gainfully employed (for five years now with this company), I will never complain about having a job again, no matter how painful it can be at times. It can definitely be worse, I've lived it! :(

I feel you. I get totally fed up with my job too. It's boring. Unchallenging. Mind-numbing. And I work with all women, which is awful. It's nothing but drama. I really miss working with men!!! I need more boys in my life!

Oh I hear you! My team is all women (9 of us) working in close quarters. You get to know everyone's personal problems (pretty graphic sometimes.. yikes!)
I definately appreciate the fact that I have a job and can work. But sometimes I really think I need a vacation at least.. I have some time off accumulated and maybe I will just take a week off to catch up on life.

Too bad we can't do it backwards. First you're born then you get a nice long retirement (maybe twenty years or so), then work for a little while, followed by higher education (partying and all) then a few years of grade school, and finally kindregarten and pre-school with milk, cookies, field trips and group naps.

I'm fine with my work environment, I enjoy my job. However, there isn't any job security....and I can't really expect my promised pay raises because the new business I work for is failing.

My boss has yet to inform me on whether or not we renewed our lease space for January to ride it out, so....come January I may be out of a job and on the search for a new one.:(

I work a "long-term temp" job for a large company. I sit at my computer all day, listen to music on my headphones, and work. I don't talk to anyone except other workers online and my supervisor, who's always in another building. I can't complain, best job to date for me. No stress, just do my job, go home. What more could you ask for?

I'm an RVT and work in medical records retrieval. I am bored out of my skull and am losing what I learned in school. I can't work at a veterinary office though because they don't pay diddly. About to have to get a second job just to be able to get an apartment.
