    Importing to Canada.
I would like to make a purchase from one of the breeders that all
off you here speak so highly of. Now i have been learning about these CITIES paperwork i need. Now i guess my question is
1.does anyone know how much these cost?
2.is there a chance of running into trouble shipping into Canada(know delays that could become DOA etc...)?

With the canadian dollar so strong and the pricing i see people post ads for on here and other classifieds(fuanna and kingsnake mostly). It just seems smart to purchase in the states but what kind of headache may i be getting myself into.

    Thank you for any responses.

what i found for cites is it costs about 300 dollars. u can add i think 20 snakes to one ticket though. plus shipping which can be 100+ over the border.

I found that the savings costs from the usa dont justify all the extra costs.

I'm pretty sure that Aleesha (recycling goddess) lives in Canada and just completed a deal with Adam at 8 Ball Pythons here in the U.S.

I've heard his work with out-of-the-country customers is A+, and I bet you could call him and have all of those questions answered in great detail ;)

You can't go wrong getting animals from Adam :D

Things to consider are, are you willing to wait anywhere from 2 to 12 month for CITES permit, USFW inspection fees before being shipped to Canada, Taxes on amount declared at customs, dock and Airport fees as well as cost for actual shipping.

Most of the current morphs are all available from reputable breeders in Canada at a fraction of what it would cost you to import the same animals.

What are you looking for? Mark Mandic @ Markus Jayne Ball Pythons has almost everything available and Corey Woods to name a few can help you out :)

    Good luck
