    Daytona Question
My wife and I are planning to goto Daytona for the big show in 2008 and I was curious how far in advance you all make your preperations for the show (flights, hotel reservations, etc.) Thanks in advance!

We drive 8 hours, but we make our hotel reservations in January. And then I keep checking the hotel website to see if they have better rates throughout the year, then I make a new reservation and cancel the first one! :P

I usually plan about 15 minutes in advance, thats when I get in the shower and get dressed. Then I leave my house, get in my truck and drive 20 minutes. Im so good at planning.

I've only been to daytona once but I live in miami it's about a 3 to 4 hour drive for me. When I went in 06 I just drove up and stayed at a super 8, the beach was right outside my window it was great the show was one block away. No parking cost for me but the room was 100.00 bucks. I hope to see you all there this year.

Thanks for the link PhillyBoy and Deborah!!! :):)

I personally probably won't be making plans to go until closer to that time. I have a sis in law that we go to FL to visit every year (in Jacksonville, near the zoo) but this year we went a week too early and left FL the sun before the weekend of the show. :( Next year I hope to be in FL the same time as the show!! So hopefully I will get to meet some of y'all there!! :)

No doubt! I make my reservations before I leave the Hilton the year before.

I just need to remember to schedule a week off after Daytona. Recovery this year was rough...
