    sheding question
i have no idea when my new BP shed last. his eyes seem to be getting that milky look the past 2 days, used to be jet black. overall seems to hav that 'plastic' looking scales as well but i cnt be positive as i dont have much experience to compare with.

how long should it take to start a shed after the eyes fog over?

mine have been in the shed proccess up to 2 weeks. usually it's not that long though. first, the belly turns pink, then they go into blue (clouded eyes and that 'plastic' look) then they seem to clear up for maybe a day or two then you wake up and see a fresh skin laying on the substrate. when mine were small, it usually took 4 or 5 days

My bp that I am snake sitting shed in early Sept. Eats every week. Noticed cloudy eyes one day but not consistent. Wouldnt eat then all of a sudden about 5 days later he started shedding. October 15th Dont know if that helps but I would say milky eyes are a sure sign and get the humidity up. He had a bad shed this time humidity was low. Hope that helps
