anyone have any good recipes for game birds?
random question, i know. my boss gave me three pheasants and 1 duck and i have no idea what to do with them! i googled recipes but everything either looks way too complicated or disgusting. if you've got one, i'd love to hear it!:tongue2:
Re: anyone have any good recipes for game birds?
A simple, but favorite of mine is to stuff a jalepeno in them, wrap them in bacon, and then throw them on the grill... simplicity at it's finest.
Re: anyone have any good recipes for game birds?
hmm... i dunno bout the jalapeno but the rest of it sound mighty tasty! thanks ben!
Re: anyone have any good recipes for game birds?
Well... most of the heat from the jalepeno cooks out of it, so it's not very hot, just mainly adds flavor. But to each their own. it was no problem btw, I'm looking forward to the goose season to open back up. Goin this weekend if I can make it down there.
Re: anyone have any good recipes for game birds?
well, if u have some geese to get rid of, feel free to send em up this way! lol! between my boss, his dad, and his bro each shooting their limit of pheasants and ducks, my boss was pretty much begging me to take some! lol

DUCK!! Yum. I cook almost all fowl the same. Garlic, onions, and baked covered until tender. Duck can be raised up so the oils run out some. Quail stuffed with mild baby onions with some garlic roasted.. oh my...
I want some too now.
