    Dry ice?
Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?

We go to a Halloween/trick or treating party with multiple friends every year, and this year I've decided to make Witch's Brew to take. I know to use tongs, of course....Do you just drop the chunk of dry ice in the punch? Or break it up first? Will it all dissolve in a few hours? If not, how do you dispose of it? I have stainless steel sinks, would it harm that?

As dry ice is the solid state of Co2 I'm not sure if it can be used for cooling. I know if you drop it in water it doesn't cool the water but rather bubbles.

I did not know that. Should I get more than one chunk? How long does one last?

Oh gosh, I'm really nervous about this Brew, lol.

It will subliminate over a few hours, whatever you have leftover. Just don't put it in your freezer. It also doesn't seem to react well to being picked up with metal tongs(it squeals, LOL!) and I don't know what it would do to the sink. I would wrap it in a plastic bag just in case.

That stuff and liquid nitrogen are so fun to play with!

Oh wow, I didn't know it doesn't cool. This stuff is so wierd. Thanks for that info, I'll make sure to chill the punch very well before the party.

Haha, well I only have metal tongs, so this should be interesting. Thanks for the idea of the plastic bag, I'll do that!

Where do you get liquid nitrogen? lol

My mum of course ;) They have a huge tank at work for freezing things off of skin and whatnot.

You usually put it in a cup and when the doctors are done with it, they will throw it across the floor and the floor will smoke for awhile, haha. It's like dry ice, just liquid.

Well you'll have to tell her to show it to Marc one of these days, he would definitely get a kick out of that!
