Colin on his way!! Woo Hoo!!!

Colin got his JC title (junior courser) today. Two days, two outstanding runs!! JC is something they have to pass before moving on to F.Ch.(field champion). I am hoping to multi title him across the board. In conformation, lure coursing and obedience. He's now also pointed toward his conf. championship.

Sweet! I love love love people who compete dogs in more than just the beauty pagents. I wish there was more of that going on. My friend with Miniature Schnauzers is competing them in rally and obedience as well as conformation, and they are the nicest little dogs you'll ever meet.

I think it makes for a more stable, well balance animal when they compete.. Also people don't realize if a dog gets bored they can be problem dogs. Many dogs are turned in to shelters because they are destructive, many times due to nothing other than boredom. Give the dog a job with discipline and praise and watch the difference. A dog with a job, is a happy dog!! Every dog needs the one on one with their person and competeing takes time and patience which builds a great bound. The time spent with your dog will reward you with a wonderfully behaved and loyal companion.
