    as some of you know, i recently found out my grampa has very advanced lung cancer so i flew to washington. he lives way up on the canadian border so i got lots of pics along the way. just thought i'd share a few...

    leavenworth, wa... a cool little tourist trap of a town. all the buildings are done in the classic bavarian style...

    Real nice pics you got there! I love the colors on those trees... almost looks fake. Sorry to hear about your grandpa n I hope everything works out for you!!

    Awww Melanie, what a wonderful picture to treasure of you and your grandfather. I hope you had a wonderful visit with him and I'm sure he appreciated you taking the time to travel there to be with him. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pictures with us. :hug:

    Very awesome picture of you and your grandpa. I regret never flying to see my grandmother who died at 60 because of cancer! he looks like a fighter, tell him to keep up the fight. beautiful scenic views! like said, almost looks fake :P thanks for sharing.

    btw i really wish they would come up with a cure. i hate cancer so much. took my 2nd mother from me :(

    he's the most stubborn man i've ever met. he makes tons of jokes about dying. but he'll stick around as long as he can just to keep pestering gramma! lol! yeah i make jokes about it too... must be some kind of coping mech, huh?

    Those are great pics, and a great shot of you and your grandpa. I really hope things work out for the better with him.


    Leavensworth is awesome, we stopped there for lunch on our way to the San Juan islands. Its a really neat little town. Even though its at the top of a mountain, near stevens pass. They get plundered with snow every year.

    yeah, that snow picture was steven's pass! when we drove thru a few days later it was gone but.... yeah... wouldn't wanna live there!!!
