I know I looked at the vendors list a couple weeks ago when I thought I would be going and was disappointed NERD wasn't listed. So maybe they aren't "backing out" so much as never planned on going?

yeah, they're not going, but VPI and the snake keeper will be there, as well as a few other recognizables...

i didn't hear anything about "backing out". I'd guess that the guy above me in this thread's got it right.

It is "The Snake Keeper". If you couldn't find it on NARBC's vendor list, it is because it is under T, not S.

The Snake Keeper is Dan and Colette Sutherland. Their webpage is ballpython.com.

"That guy" is me, and I'm a woman. :P Guess I need to get something less androgynous than "Casey" in my .sig.

sorry lol. people usually assume i'm a guy too. I tend not to care either way because i prefer it not to matter, but will occasionally correct them anyhow. *shrug*

Funny about the guy / gal thing. I never know around here. Last night, I even happened to search for the poll on "what is your gender?" It had a few hundred responses, but there are over 5 thousand members!

I hope I didn't sound upset about it! I've been using "Casey" online since about 1992 (before most people knew there was such a thing as the internet, and also when females were a relatively rare commodity online), so you aren't even close to the first person who has made the assumption that I was a male. If it bothered me, I'm sure I'd have long since stopped using Casey and/or always take more care to make sure I mention something related to my gender.
