Refused a meal

My snake that i've had since last september refused a meal last night, and i tried feeding it again today and it still won't eat the small rat, and i know it's the right size because it's had slightly bigger. The other snake took the meal right away, any suggestions? how long should i wait before offering again? and how do i keep this rat alive? thanks in advance

First just wait about 7 days till you offer it again. Not a big deal sometimes they just aren't hungry. :D

Second to keep your rat alive. Get a kritter keeper and some food and a water bottle and make sure it has food and water. and you should be good to go. :D
