Feces or regurge?
I checked on Daisy last night and found a weird clump in one of her hides. It didn't look like her normal, "cat-like" feces. The clump was dry and looked fuzzy.
She ate a live weanling rat last Sunday but was previously feeding on two live adult mice every 7 days.
Was this poo or a regurge? What does a regurge look like? Would a BP regurge in its hide?
TIA
Tony

Re: Feces or regurge?
Yes, pictures would help. But from the sound of it, I think it's feces. Our snake was doing only dry, hard, yellow feces and dry, hard, white urates the first month or so we had him. Then he gave us the gift of the smelly, "cat-like" poop - long, skinny, soft, brown, and smelly!

I took pics, but, for some reason, photobucket won't let me post it.

Re: Feces or regurge?
When a snake regurges, you can typically make out the prey item somewhat, as they usually regurge before the meal is fully digested. I have noticed that when my snakes make very good use of there meals, they will often defecate a mass that is largely made up of hair from the rodents they have been eating, giving it a fuzzy look. That would be my best guess without knowing any other info or having a pic.

Just a hint: to post the pic from PBucket; cut-n-paste the "direct link" option under the pic on your album.. then use the "IMG" selection in the Advanced iotion when you post your topic! PB changed things and I was lost for awhile too.

I would say dried up feces from what you are explaining...

Re: Feces or regurge?
I'm wondering if it's just a feces that since you missed it and it's all warm and humid in a snake's home, it just started to get a bit fuzzy with mold starting to grow on it. Could it be that?

Re: Feces or regurge?
My snakes occasionally defecate a big bundle of fur, too, nothing to worry about.
